How To Take the Perfect Car Photo

Getting a great photo of your car is the most important step to getting an amazing custom poster. Follow these simple tips:

1. Choose the Right Time of Day

Shoot during the day just after sunrise or just before sunset. The soft, warm light will make your car look incredible and avoid harsh shadows.

2. Find a Clean Background

Look for a simple, uncluttered background  an empty parking lot, a plain wall, or an open road. The focus should be on your car, not the surroundings.

3. Clean Your Car First

Give your car a good wash and dry before the shoot. A clean car always looks better in photos and on posters.

4. Pick the Best Angle

The front three-quarter angle (front corner of the car) is the most popular and flattering angle for car posters. You can also try a side profile shot for a classic look.

5. Use Good Lighting

Avoid shooting in direct midday sun as it creates harsh shadows. Overcast days can also work well as the clouds act as a natural diffuser.

6. Use a High Resolution Camera

Use the best camera available — a modern smartphone works great. Make sure the photo is sharp and in focus. The higher the resolution, the better your poster will look.

7. Keep It Steady

Use both hands or prop your phone against something stable to avoid blurry shots. A tripod is ideal if you have one.
